Plymouth Ice Center
Plymouth Ice Center is located at 3650 Plymouth Blvd, Plymouth, MN and is just a short drive from Uneek Design Build & Remodel in the city of Maple Grove, Minnesota. The center offers open ice skating, rentals, and classes at its indoor facility. There are three professional-size ice skating rinks as well as 16 locker rooms and two community meeting rooms. Wayzata High School and Providence Academy play their home ice hockey games at the arena, and groups can rent the ice by the quarter hour. The Plymouth Ice Center is a public-private collaboration between the city, local hockey associations, Wayzata School District, Providence Academy, Life Time Fitness, and the state of Minnesota.
In addition to hosting community events and open skate times, the facility offers family-friendly activities such as birthday parties and sporting lessons that include fencing, skiing, and snowboarding. The rink is also a “Letters to Santa” drop-off location during the holidays.
Open Skating at Plymouth Ice Center
Open skating is offered year-round with an admission fee of $5 per person ages 4 and older. Children ages three and under are admitted for free. You may bring your own skates, or you can rent a pair for an additional fee. Skate sharpening is available at the ice center as well as skate training apparatus rentals.
Birthday Party Packages
If you’ve always wanted to have an ice skating birthday party, look no further. Birthday party packages are available at Plymouth Ice Center during public open skate times. The fee includes use of the Blue Line Room for one hour and open skate and skate rental fees for up to ten children. Regular skating fees apply to any children above the included ten, any skate training apparatus rentals, and any adults.
Renovations
Plymouth Ice Center was renovated in 2017. At the time, the rink was converted from an Olympic-sized rink to three professional-sized sheets of ice. The lighting has also been recently updated to LED lights in all three rinks.
